Self Doll is a long distance communication tool. I used Self Doll to speak remotely to audiences at Gasworks for my first UK solo show at Gasworks while I was at my house in Buenos Aires during lockdown. Self Doll has an opening on the back of it's head, where you can slide a phone on speaker mode, while the phone becomes invisible, the opening on Self Doll's mouth allows you to fully hear others and communicate. During my show I had really interesting conversations with visitors that needed someone to talk to. There is something un judgmental about Self Doll that provoked trust and privacy.
