IBM (Intuitive Bread Machine) is an ongoing idea that comes from the exhibition "Into ourselves" 2018 at Der Tank, Basel, Switzerland & The Drawing Center, NYC, US. Visitors were invited to eat drawings made on rice paper thrown into a soup that was eaten collectively. The idea behind IBM is rooted in creating a board game that consequently disappears at the end of the match as hunger plays, leaving nothing but crumbles and a shared experience.
IBM is a game oriented to cannibalize your opponent. You can move or eat a piece of the game while perhaps improvising a poem. You can invent your own rules, so while you improvise, chat, drink tea, the board game disappears into nothingness. Maybe its more about organized food than a win-lose game or maybe its clearly a meaningful way to spend time with others and share an intuitive meal. Clearly its a never ending work in progress, even when being digested...
